Taylor Trefger

Taylor Trefger’s practice focuses on family law and civil litigation. She is dedicated to guiding clients through complex and emotionally challenging cases with compassion, clarity, and strong advocacy.

Prior to joining Wynne Samp & Lavorato, Taylor served as an Assistant Law Clerk at the New York State Supreme Court, Kings County, in the Guardianship Part. Her background in guardianship law gives her unique insight into protecting vulnerable individuals and supporting families through complicated decisions. Additionally, Taylor gained litigation experience working in the New York City Law Department’s Labor and Employment Division, where she defended the City of New York and its agencies in state and federal court.

Taylor earned her Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Cultural Studies, with a minor in Sociology–Criminology, from the University of Oklahoma.

Taylor is admitted to practice in Texas and New York. Her published legal writing includes an award-winning article in the Journal of Dispute Resolution addressing employment law and arbitration.
